There’s no hotel reception, which is even more of a problem at night. Just one employee is around, and you may have to wait outside until he comes to open the door. It can take a while. The rooms are genuinely dirty, and there’s no mini fridge. When housekeeping comes, they only fold the towels and sheets, even if you’ve asked for them to be changed. The doors don’t use keys, and all the passwords follow the same pattern, floor number plus room number backwards, so that feels insecure. Hot water has apparently been an issue for years. Even the café staff downstairs complain about it, and there are leaks all over, as the photos show. Street noise is constant, and you can hear everything from other rooms, including employees walking around and slamming doors at 2-3am. There’s no way this qualifies as a 4-star hotel. The positive reviews seem to be about the coffee shop.

I’m only rating the café. The food was tasty and fairly priced for the quality. We enjoyed our stay.

I stopped in for coffee and to get some work done, and it was a great spot. In Providencia, in a residential area, it felt safe and quiet, and worked well for using my computer.

A real gem. We spent a week here, and everything felt brand new. The beds were great, the design was lovely, and the service was spectacular. It’s close to everything yet really quiet. Congrats to the owners.

The café is pretty good. I haven’t stayed in the accommodation side of the business.
