We spent one night here and everything went smoothly. The staff were excellent, breakfast was delicious, and we had air conditioning in the room and hot water in the shower.

We stayed for eight days in January and February 2023, after seeing this place recommended in the 2022 Edition of "Lonely Planet" South American Edition of World Wide Travellers Guides on a Restricted Budget. The reception team were very friendly and went out of their way to arrange taxis to bus terminals and help with other things. Nancy at reception speaks fluent English; for the other staff, using a translation app is best. I’m Australian, 74, and my wife is 69. The courtyard where breakfast is served is exceptional, with a swimming pool, and the continental breakfast was great. The rooms could be better, but they were fine for A$71 a night with breakfast, about US$48. That’s really good value, believe me. I’ve spent a total of seven months holidaying in South America over my life.

The location is nice, but the rest of the conditions were pretty lousy. The rooms were terrible, the breakfast selection was poor, and the staff weren’t very polite or helpful. I wouldn’t recommend staying more than two days.

They let us leave our bags there while we visited Patagonia, which was very helpful. The hotel is in a unique building and has a good location.
