Tur Hotel Santiago

It’s handy being inside the bus terminal, with easy access to airport transfers. There are only a few rooms, so you really need to reserve ahead.

The shower was dirty, and there was no floor towel even though we paid for full use of the showers. The plastic flooring felt flimsy, and the stains on the counter looked awful. Meanwhile, the price jumped to $10,000 in only a few months, without any bathroom improvements that I could see. It’s disappointing to return somewhere I’ve visited several times and find it like this. They show no interest in keeping travelers happy.

There was some street noise in the room, though it was bearable. Breakfast was very basic for what it cost, and eggs came at an extra charge.

We were in a hurry when we stayed last weekend, and the hotel felt very expensive for such an extremely basic breakfast. When we checked out at noon on Sunday, I left two sweatshirts in the room, one for a child and one for a woman. I went back and got only the child’s sweatshirt. The staff said nothing else was in the room and asked me to call the next day so they could check with the cleaning staff. I did, but they again said they hadn’t found anything, although I had left the other one hanging in the closet.
