Pampa Lodge Quincho y Caballos

The room was so spotless that even my friend, who never goes barefoot, was comfortable walking barefoot down the hallway. The housekeeping team clearly takes real pride in keeping everything clean and organized. The location is ideal, with easy access to the main tourist highlights. At check-in, the staff were friendly, knew their stuff, and went out of their way to make our stay a great one.

We took a long trail ride, and for us as horse enthusiasts it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The staff were attentive and helpful, and the restaurant served high-quality food. It is pricey, but that's the area, and if you can treat yourself, stay here. This was the highlight of our travels through Chile. The room had breathtaking views, whether we were eating breakfast or waking up in the morning.

The staff were attentive and nice to deal with, and the location is handy, just a five-minute drive to the Torres del Paine entrance. But the restaurant was below average for the price. Our burger was sloppy and worse than what we've had elsewhere. We went to Rio Serrano hotel around the corner instead, where the food and atmosphere were much better, and it was about 20% cheaper. The bed was fairly comfortable, though the rooms were only okay and the walls were so thin we heard every conversation. One morning staff were setting up breakfast loudly with music on, and we were awake from 5:30am. There was also a pretty horrible smell in our bathroom. Breakfast was average. You could order scrambled eggs, but the rest of the cold selection wasn't great. The bread was hard around the edges, as if it had been left out for days, and one morning the cookies tasted like leftovers from Pampa Lodge the day before.

Our room window looked straight over the river and mountains, and the views from the lodge were unbeatable. Horses wander around the grounds too, which makes the place even prettier. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant and great service, so I'd highly recommend eating there. Pampa lodge is a comfortable, luxury-type stay, and I'd recommend it.
