There’s only one pot and some spoons to use in the kitchen, and I had to wait 20 minutes before anyone let me in.

Breakfast was a mess. If we were lucky, there was some bread left, then the woman would disappear without serving us, so we bought all our breakfast ourselves. My family and I spent five days in a first-floor quadruple room, and water leaked into the room where my elderly parents were staying. They gave us only an old towel to dry things, with no fix offered. They advertised towels, but then said none were available because they weren’t dry. The woman was very rude and said she’d bring some “old ones”; she brought just two. When I asked for more the next day, she again refused, saying she had to save towels for the other guests. At checkout I asked for an invoice and was refused. I was told the accountant had to be called and that they couldn’t issue one, and that I’d have to pay cash if I wanted an invoice. In the end they gave me a receipt. We trusted a Booking recommendation, and the whole experience was a nightmare.

The bathroom needed cleaning, especially the sink faucet, which was covered in what looked like years-old mold. Water from the shower leaked into the room, and the owner’s answer was to lay down a towel to soak it up. The dresser smelled awful, and the person helping us seemed inconsiderate. She had no clean towels and didn’t give us any. It was a bad stay.

The rooms are small, but warm and very comfortable. The woman who runs the hostel is friendly and lovely. It’s inexpensive, includes breakfast, and has a little area with dishes and other appliances where you can make tea whenever you like. Being centrally located near the bus terminal makes it really convenient. I like this hostel a lot.
