My brother and I stayed one night, and the place was fantastic. It’s beautiful, with great views from its multiple balconies. The woman running it was very nice and even made strawberry smoothies for breakfast!

From room 4, the view changes all day. At noon the harbor in Paradise Valley looks almost like a glass greenhouse; later the setting sun glints across it, and lights gradually appear on the hills on both sides, like countless diamonds. A big yellow moon, like a mooncake, rises above the horizon, and in the morning the sun wakes you with the sunrise. Breakfast on the terrace is generous. The hostess keeps her old things carefully, with the affection of someone looking after ordinary family treasures, not just antiques.

The old-house feel brought back memories of my grandparents' home and made it easy to imagine Valparaíso in the last century. The place is clean, cozy, and has a great view, with breakfast included. It's also near the main sights, so getting around on foot is easy.

The hot water only ran from 8 am to 12 pm, which was the one drawback. Otherwise, I really liked the place: the owner was warm and had great suggestions, the view was lovely, and breakfast was delicious and filling.
