Hostal Millenium House

The breakfast was a total disappointment and didn’t look like the photos. In the room, there was a dead spider beside the bed, and we had to put on our own sheets after checking in, though that was the least of our concerns. We got there at 8 am, but the sign said reception opened at 9, and nobody answered when we rang. They wouldn’t let us stay until the 3 pm check-in, only leave our backpacks, saying that was because they were cleaning.

The staff were very friendly, but they didn’t tell us breakfast had to be requested the day before. It’s a decent hostel with interesting architecture and a good location. At night, the alley leading in felt unsafe, and one of the bathrooms wasn’t working.

There are plenty of other places I’d choose instead. In my opinion, the facilities don’t deserve their rating, and the receptionist made a rather inappropriate joke. I arrived to find my reservation canceled because they couldn’t charge my card. There wasn’t anyone else staying there, for a reason.
