Refugio El Molle

The surf and turf risotto was really tasty, with perfectly cooked steak and a nice balance of seafood. Good food and a great place. Restaurant guests can use the swimming pool too. Recommended.

We spent our first night in one of the cheaper cabins, which wasn't as nice, then moved to the hotel. The hotel was a dream: quiet and clean, with amazing rooms and lovely service. It costs only a couple of bucks more than the cabins, so choose the hotel if you go.

I've stayed here three times, and everything has been amazing, but the voluntary tip bothered me, especially on my latest visit. It wasn't the establishment demanding it. Rather, staff, particularly the cleaning lady, told us that if we wanted to tip, we should leave it inside, even though we hadn't hired them or received anything from them. Guests shouldn't be asked for tips, in my view, since what we pay is already enough. Of course, that doesn't mean we can't choose to leave one. But the way it appears on the voucher we're asked to sign makes it feel as if staff assume the tip is compulsory.

I've stayed at the hotel several times with my partner, and we've always had a great experience. The place is beautiful, the room was very clean, and service was excellent. Breakfast was fresh and generous. One suggestion: a roof over the parking area would be helpful.
