Marcelo and Irene made me feel at home and welcome, even with many other guests around. They treated me as if I were the only one there and made me feel important, which is hard to find these days. Marcelo helped me with tourist activities since I don’t speak any Spanish, and the included breakfast was delicious and filling every day. Merken Bead and Breakfast was a one of a kind place and my first stay in Chile, in Villarrica. The bedrooms were luxurious, the landscapes beautiful and open, and the hosts incredibly friendly. I’d recommend it 110 percent if you’re visiting Chile. Make a point of seeing the south and staying at this wonderful resort. 12/10 recommended!

The rooms have a musty smell, which seems typical of the area. Apart from that, everything was lovely: the place is beautiful and easy to reach, the owners are warm and friendly, and breakfast is delicious. They pay attention to the details.

It feels like visiting relatives. Mrs. Irene is attentive to whatever you need, and the beds are luxurious for a good night’s sleep. The breakfasts are delicious and unpretentious.
