The hotel was comfortable, though it cost about 90,000 Chilean pesos, which comes to around 150,000 at the exchange rate at the border. That’s what a new hotel in Argentina would cost. Breakfast was just instant coffee, a slice of ham and cheese, and two pieces of toast. For Argentinians, the city feels like Rosario: it’s big and easy to get lost in, so you have to figure out your way around.

The location was excellent, but we ran into several problems. We didn’t get basic toiletries like toilet paper or soap, the water in our room was cut off one night, and the door wouldn’t close from the outside. We also couldn’t enjoy breakfast.

Being just a block from the sea is a real plus. Service was acceptable, but there aren’t many staff, so some requests take quite a while. Breakfast is very basic for the price, though it works in a pinch. Room comfort depends on asking for one of the better rooms; the others aren’t good.

It was a nice touch that the entrance, exit, and emergency exit are locked at night. The staff were very helpful, although breakfast could use improvement.
