We liked the old house, it felt cozy and charming, and our room was airy with a very comfortable bed. The shower had strong water pressure, and the staff were kind and attentive. We'd stay here again and recommend the hotel, but not the terrace restaurant. The food wasn't good, it took an hour, there was no service, and it was expensive. Maybe something happened that night, but based on our experience, we can't recommend eating there.

At check-in we got a tour of the historic building, and the staff were really friendly. There was even a welcome drink, and the restaurant looks out over the city. The entrance can be tricky to spot since there's no sign, but it was worth finding. Our room was huge and cost less than the basic rooms we'd paid for at other Chilean hotels. Best hotel I've stayed at in Chile. Couldn't ask for more.

The complimentary pisco sour on the terraza at sunset was a nice touch, and breakfast was lovely, with apple tart and chocolate cake alongside fresh fruit, juice, and the usual breakfast staples. The room had plenty of space, and I liked the high ceiling. At check-in, the property manager carefully explained where to go and what to do around the city. A lovely boutique hotel, highly recommended.

The service was charming and so good, and we really liked the rooms. Since it's an old colonial house, the temperature control wasn't perfect, especially on a hot summer night.

Getting up to Cerro Alegre by venicular is well worth it, and bring your camera for the street art. The metro is a five-minute walk away, then it's 15 to Val Paraiso. This is an authentic period house that's been renovated into somewhere modern, cosy, and charming. The staff were attentive and so helpful, and they couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was varied and filling. I'd definitely recommend it and would love to stay again.
