It was okay.

The staff were all really friendly and ready to help, and the location is excellent. Breakfast was a standard Chilean spread. Everything was very good, though the bathroom could use remodeling, including the ceiling and showers. There are plenty of ways the hotel could improve.

The beds were uncomfortable enough that I could feel the springs, and the rooms were hot with no air conditioning. Our ceiling leaked. The manager on duty couldn't repair it, brought us an old towel, and blamed the guests upstairs. He also mishandled one of our suitcases and acted suspiciously when we said we only had our own bags. He was extremely uncooperative. It feels like they don't have enough staff. Getting luggage upstairs was another problem. This is an old house with no elevator or freight lift, and nobody was available to help. The outlets were loose or broken as well. I don't recommend staying here.

The place is in a fantastic, very quiet spot, and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. They've even prepared breakfast before the usual time so I could eat before business meetings. There's also a little cat at reception that keeps me company at breakfast and greets people coming and going. It's my favorite hotel in Viña del Mar. The rooms are spotless and come with a hairdryer and a complimentary kit with shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, shaving kit, and more. The service is wonderful.
