I liked how easy it was to get around from Marriot Metropolitan Hotel. It's 1.6 miles from Douala International Airport and near Douala Grand Mall, which worked well for business or leisure. My room was spacious and nicely decorated, with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a safe, a private bathroom with a shower, and a balcony. The free Wi-Fi was useful, and the soundproofing kept things peaceful despite the busy surroundings. The staff were friendly and attentive. I found the 24-hour desk, room service, and concierge helpful, and the free airport shuttle was convenient. There are also meeting rooms, fax and photocopying services, a banquet hall for events such as weddings and parties, and a well-equipped fitness center. Breakfast was a continental spread at the restaurant. The bar and terrace were good places to unwind, and the menu mixed African and European dishes. My stay was comfortable and enjoyable, thanks to the service, amenities, and location. I'd recommend it to other people visiting Douala.

I spent five nights here and had a pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and very good, and the staff were cooperative. For the quality of the rooms, the prices are very reasonable. Breakfast is limited, though, and they should add vegetarian choices.

We stayed for a week and the spacious room was clean. The hotel is newly opened, just a few minutes from the airport and shopping mall. WiFi in the room was at Cameroonian speed, and we had air conditioning. Breakfast was better, and I can see a few small things still need improvement, but this is still the best hotel in Douala I'd come back to. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. They picked us up from the airport and dropped us off too.

The hotel is very neat, in every way, and the staff are wonderful and committed. Miss Angela deserves a special mention. It is well located, very close to Douala Mall and the Airport. My wife and I enjoyed our three nights there. It hardly felt like we were in Douala. I'll definitely return next time I visit. Keep it up, staff, we're proud of you.
