Résidence hôtelière Borel Douala

The one thing that let me down was the Wi-Fi. It wasn’t reliably there when I needed it, and those of us living abroad depend on internet for work and keeping up with family. Improving that would make the experience so much better. I’ve stayed at Borel Residence for 16 days this month, and it wasn’t my first visit. It’s a quiet, clean, private and secure place, with caring staff. If you want a peaceful, comfortable stay for a vacation or getaway, I don’t think you’ll regret choosing it. Thanks, I’d still say to check it out.

We stayed for two nights, April 12th and April 13th. My husband Anicet booked the apartment online for the four of us, our two kids and us. I usually don’t call myself a local guide when I visit somewhere because I want an authentic experience. The place was clean and quiet, and we had internet access. But it was one of the worst apartments I’ve stayed in. The refrigerator didn’t work, so our food went bad. Someone came to repair it, and it worked for a few hours before stopping again. The window lock was broken, and they didn’t fix it. They told us no one could climb up there, but I still didn’t feel safe. I wouldn’t recommend staying here because I never felt secure.

A nice place for families, though communication was very poor.

It’s decent enough for a place to relax, though it’s not the best.
