The Senior Suite was gorgeous, spacious, and so comfortable 😍 We stayed for our honeymoon and were there for New Year's too.

Hôtel Akwa Palace in Douala is easy to spot from the main road and easy to get to. Its main entrance is in the Akwa area, where this well-known, long-established city hotel is located.

The rooms feel humid, and the air conditioners are loud without cooling things down. The pool water is very dirty, and the internet is unreliable. It also feels like management has made no effort to update the hotel. It seems unchanged since it was built 50 years ago, with no renovation.

The room was stunning, with a plush king-size bed, a spacious marble bathroom, and a private balcony overlooking the city. The lobby's opulent decor and warm atmosphere made a strong first impression. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Service really stood out throughout my stay, from attentive housekeeping to a concierge team that knew their stuff. Everyone went above and beyond to make the visit feel perfect. This incredible 5-star hotel exceeded my expectations in every way.

6/10
The hotel is well placed in the heart of town, with lots of money exchanges nearby offering international rates. My participants really enjoyed the buffet. The accommodations were generally clean, tastefully furnished, and well maintained, and I'm very pleased with them. I want to express my sincere appreciation for the quality of service the hotel provides.
