Résidence Loumia Residency

I enjoyed staying at Loumia Residency. Our rooms were comfortable, and the hotel is conveniently close to central Bonapriso. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to Douala.

I regret coming here. The customer service is unfriendly, and the rooms look as if they were built in 1967. All the photos here are fake. This place is trash.

The elevator broke down with us stranded on the 7th floor, and there was no way to switch rooms. We’d already paid for the stay up front, as they demanded. They didn’t help with our bags either. There was no phone in the room, and nobody answered the hotel phone, so every problem meant walking down fourteen flights and back up again. Then they still had the nerve to ask for tips. There were constant problems with towels: two one day, one the next, then none. The cleaning staff took any bottles left in the room to sell, so don’t leave your water behind if you expect to find it when you return. They demanded payment for a full week at check-in. I paid four days up front, and the next morning they were already asking for more. Dysfunctional at best. Don’t risk it.

The neighborhood was quiet, and there were excellent restaurants nearby. The room was amazing for the price, very clean, and well equipped. I liked the tasteful classic decor and the glass shower. The customer service was excellent, even though there was a mistake with my reservation at first. I recommend it and will be back.
