Hotel Copacabana Beach Kribi

The room was roomy, and I liked being near the beach. The place seems to have been lovely once, but much of its old glamour is gone. The food was disappointing, and shower water wouldn't drain. For what you get, the prices are too high.

The place feels modern and makes good use of its very limited space. From some rooms, you can see the Atlantic Ocean, though I think those cost more. It's right in the town centre and is one of Kribi's top hotels. The Wi-Fi was slow, and the elevator was acting up when I visited.

A tidy place with decent food and good service. We were hoping for a continental breakfast and cappuccino, though we were a bit clueless about it. What came was a whole pot of filtered coffee and croissants, all for 5.000 FCFA.

The sea views from the rooms are lovely, and there's a restaurant extension beside the beach. The rooms are good standard, with the basic amenities you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. It's one of Kribi's two best hotels, and the pricier one. During my stay, the gym still wasn't finished, nor were the sauna and hammam. I had a great stay and would happily return.
