Hotel Mont Fébé

When a place is this beautiful and peaceful, sometimes showing it off says more than trying to explain it.

The place is quite isolated, though it has both business class and ordinary standard, and works for ceremonies too. It's about 2 Km from the entrance to the presidency, on the way toward Parcours Vita, where a greyish building rises among the trees. For an event, I'd advise having a car to get out. The hotel sits deep inside, taxis rarely come by, so you may have to walk until you find one or spend on yango. I've heard the name Mont Fébé since the day I was born, you could say. It's a nice place, though it didn't meet my expectations.

Mount Febe Hotel sits in the hills above Yaounde, with a peaceful atmosphere and lovely views over the city and surrounding landscape. The rooms are spacious, clean, well appointed, and have comfortable beds and modern amenities. There's also a swimming pool, fitness center, and spa, plus a restaurant serving tasty meals made with fresh local ingredients and a bar for a drink with the view. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive, and the hotel's up on a mountain, away from the city's bustle but still within easy reach of the main attractions. The services are good and the rooms comfortable. It's one of the best hotels in the capital.

The hotel is managed by the state and also houses some members of the Cameroonian Congress and senate during congressional sessions. It's a great place to rest while visiting Yaounde, set on the outskirts with a great city view from the front rooms.
