Our luggage wasn’t safe here. Housekeeping went through our suitcases in the room and took the money inside. When we complained, management and the front desk wouldn’t accept responsibility. We reported it to the police, and the manager and staff were summoned by the police chief, but turned up five hours late. It felt like complete contempt. This place puts your belongings at risk and leaves you on your own when something happens.

A quiet, clean place with modern rooms and WiFi. It works well for a business trip or a family stay, and the service was exceptional.

The staff at the Medom were always around when we needed them, and they were friendly and helpful. We had a great stay. I don’t know when I’ll travel to Cameroon again, but I’d gladly come back if I do.

The stay started well and ended badly. The hotel staff seemed very professional before I booked, but I wouldn’t stay there again. I was charged a lot for things I hadn’t been given. They don’t even provide toilet paper or a bottle of water. The kitchen looked clean, but there were cockroaches. A very unpleasant stay.

The Medom Palace Hotel in Bastos is a beautiful, elegant place, kept clean and well maintained with care for the details. The staff were welcoming and always available, and the service was impeccable. A lovely Yaoundé address for a comfortable, refined stay.
