Mercure Hotel Guizhou Anshun West Railway Station

The parcel issue was made worse by how staff handled it after we arrived. They showed a very poor attitude, offered no proactive help, and left us as paying guests to sort things out ourselves. When we asked, the replies were rude and dismissive, with no apology or ownership of the mistake. It left me seriously questioning staff training, management oversight, and whether Mercure standards are being followed. This service would be unacceptable even at a budget hotel, let alone an international chain. I stayed here on 18 December 2025. I had arranged for Taobao parcels to arrive three to four days before I got there, a standard approach in China, especially for international visitors without local phone numbers. Instead of holding them, the hotel told the courier to return them because they couldn't reach me. That's indefensible for a hotel operating under the Mercure and Accor names. This was the only hotel among all the places I stayed in China that acted this way. Every other one, including non-Accor hotels, handled the same situation without a problem. One star feels generous, and that's only because zero isn't an option.
