If you only need somewhere to sleep, this place is okay and the prices are cheap. It's right across from the railway station, and reception staff speak English. There are several room types, from rooms with a bed and shower to windowless rooms with a hard wooden “bed” and no shower, so there's quite a range to choose from. You get what you pay for.

After seven nights on a train from Moscow, seeing the youth hostel just across the street was a relief. It's centrally located, with a lot going for it, and the staff were very friendly. The place is huge, with many rooms on each floor, including plenty of private rooms. My room was clean.

This is a low cost place in central Beijing, directly across from Beijing station. Booking from outside China may be difficult, but you can reserve by phone, and the hotel woman speaks English. Most visitors seemed to be from within China. The room was basically clean, though the shower room wasn't so good.

I went to the address, but there was no sign of the hostel. It has closed down.

It's no longer a Youth Hostel. The building is now Ji Hotel (Chinese) and Country Inn (Western).
