The room had a bunch of problems: smoke, broken air conditioning, dim lighting, and a slow drain. There was only a fitted sheet and comforter, no top sheet. The TV buzzed at every volume, the outlet had exposed wiring, and the shower head sprayed in every direction because of hard water buildup. The refrigerator heated the room, there was dirty cutlery for coffee and tea, and I couldn't turn off the closet light. The hotel is next to some kind of industrial plant that occasionally puts noxious fumes over the surrounding area. Other than that, pretty good.

I stayed at the Bird's Nest branch. It's fine for a business trip, though I wouldn't choose it for a vacation. The room was okay, but with so many guests the breakfast was poor and the choices were limited. There are a few shops and a small supermarket across the intersection to the right as you leave the hotel. There's also a small shop inside the hotel.

The hotel isn't right by a main road, so finding it was a bit tricky at first. You have to turn off the Fourth Ring Road and go in a little way. Once there, the surroundings were much better than I'd expected. The rooms aren't large, but they're quite comfortable, and the standard seems about four-star. For a short stay, it's a pretty good-value option in the Asian Games Village area, especially compared with the hotels on either side of Anli Road.
