In October 2024, I couldn't find hotels on any of these small streets. The only place there was Grand Mongolia hotel, priced at $80-90. My own photos of it were added in November 2024. Bookstore youth hotel (Hi Inn Chongwenmen) Nanbabao 23 has been closed since the pandemic, or possibly since 2018. There's another small Hi Inn Chongwenmen near the main road at a different address, and they said they hadn't received our booking payment. I suspect it may be an illegal casino or brothel, and that people can't get in using all prepaid accounts. Baidu Maps shows four or five hotels on these small streets, but they had all really been closed since 2019. A warning for the naive Chinese public, who don't have Google or Google Maps.

The location was excellent, under 80 meters from the metro and around 400 meters from the train station. The hotel also had a very comfortable king-size bed, a bathtub and shower, and a full bar in the living room. The room was spacious, and the European breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend it.

The hotel is large, but the service is really poor. Wi-Fi is available only to local citizens, and the counter manager is always scowling and keeps delaying check-in. It's a truly awful hotel with the worst service index. The bellboy is the friendliest person there.
