After a 14-hour flight, we were exhausted and got a tiny room with dirty sheets. The beds weren’t comfortable, so it was a rough start to the trip. I don’t understand how this place has such a good score. The one helpful thing was that reception assisted us when we needed to exchange money. The whole place looked old and dirty and smelled awful, especially the shared toilets. A strong smell of feet hit us at reception. It was gloomy, and the neon sign outside was sometimes off, which made it hard to find the place one night.

A solid place to stay. The dorms are spacious, the Wi-Fi was fast, and rooms often have their own tea kettle. It’s especially handy for quick access to Beijing North railway station and a nearby subway station.

The hostel is near metro lines 4 and 6, and the rooms are tidy, though rather small. Most of the staff speak good English and can arrange tours. Reception is open around the clock, and there’s a bar serving breakfast, drinks, and food. As is usual in China, they ask you to pay when you arrive.

The bunk beds are comfortable, the price is good, and the internet is fast and reliable. Service is friendly, and they provide large lockers with keys. It’s very close to Xisi metro station. The only drawback I can think of is that men have to go downstairs from the bedrooms to use the restroom. I’d definitely come back.

For a few days in Beijing, this is a good hostel. The shared washroom is usually clean, though not late at night. There’s also a restaurant and bar, but the food is limited to things like pizza, French fries, and burgers. The management is friendly and helpful, and will advise you on where to go and how to get there.
