If you want a traditional Chinese-style stay but still need a private bathroom, air conditioning, and a fridge, this guesthouse has both. It sits in one of Beijing's increasingly rare old hutong neighborhoods, and the place has a lovely, charming old-China feel. The house is clean and well kept, and Bobby and his team are very friendly and helpful. There’s a small market, shops, and restaurants close by, though the nearest subway station is a good 10-15 minutes away on foot. The only real downside is that sound travels easily between rooms.
