Beijing Xinxiang Yayuan Apartment (Sanlitun)

We stayed six nights, from 7/2 to 7/7, after booking through eZ Travel. Before arriving, we got Xinxiang Yayuan's WeChat contact through the booking site. Their online customer service was the main reason for my five-star rating: they replied promptly every time and were warm and professional. I was also worried about luggage storage, but our EVA Air flight got us to the homestay right at check-in time, so we didn't need to leave bags early. After checkout, they let us store our luggage until 8pm. We asked in advance, left our cases in the room, sent a photo to customer service and kept it for reference. When we were ready to collect them, we messaged on WeChat and someone brought the bags down to the first floor. The homestay is inside a residential building, and the first-floor attendant helps open the entrance, so there was no access issue. Room entry is by code, which customer service sends on WeChat on the day. There are several buildings in the area, such as Unit 1 and Unit 2; this homestay is in Unit 2. On our last day, I wasn't sure in Taiwan whether luggage storage would be possible, so I separately booked another homestay in Unit 1. The service, room supplies and decor were very different between the two. I only recommend this one! For Meituan deliveries or Taobao parcels, put Unit 2 plus the room number in the recipient name field so the character limit doesn't cut it off. We had a four-person room with two large beds, a kitchen, washing machine, microwave, fridge and a place to hang clothes, which suits a family trip well. The only issue was that after the four of us showered one after another, water pooled on the bathroom floor by the drain. I reported it, and the homestay said they'd take care of it, so I don't expect it to affect future stays. The subway is only a few minutes' walk away, though we used taxis to get to other attractions. I'd consider staying here again on a future Beijing visit and recommend it. When you're somewhere unfamiliar, it matters a lot to me that online customer service replies quickly and handles things with care and professionalism.
