We really enjoyed wandering around the neighborhood. It had quaint little shops, traditional shabu shabu, and even a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant nearby, and the people were friendly. We were in town for a conference at Peking University, and this hotel worked out best for us. Our room was spacious and beautiful, and the multilingual staff went out of their way to help. Mr. Bob in particular always had useful recommendations. We'd love to stay here again.

The location is great if you're visiting Renmin, and the staff were friendly. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was fine. The hotel feels a bit dated now, though. The AC struggled to keep the room cool, and the windows only opened a tiny bit.

It's within walking distance of the subway, which is handy. Still, I wasn't that impressed: the shower smelled, the place felt a bit shady, and it was quite expensive. Fine for one night, though.
