The inn was so cheap that we expected the bill to be ten times higher. It came to about $20 for breakfast, lunch, dinner, bottled water for days, tissues, and more. Even the beers at dinner were under $1, and we got drunk there every night. The host spoke great English and fed us incredibly good food. Most of it was grown on-site. There was also a surprising amount of wild pot growing nearby; we dried some in the sun and spent the day stoned. The locals didn’t seem to know what it was.

The hosts were kind and welcoming, and the meals were generous without costing much. Our room was also in great shape. The location made the stay even better, about 15 minutes from the famous Great Wall of China. A truly perfect visit.
