Citadines Ritan Beijing

The breakfast was great, and the room had simple, new furniture, a modern bathroom, and a huge LCD screen. The remote controlled toilet seat could wash and dry you, which was awesome. I'd never seen anything like it. One hassle was that both reception and the restaurant are on the fifth floor, so the elevator gets very busy going back down to the ground floor.

We left Citadines Ritan Beijing feeling frustrated and uncomfortable. After more than 24 hours of travel, we arrived to a freezing room. We waited an hour for a portable heater, and the one they brought didn't work. Nobody came when we asked for a replacement, so we had to go down to the front desk three times before anyone helped. Communication was difficult throughout because none of the front desk staff spoke English, despite our repeated attempts to get help connecting our devices to the Wi-Fi. The room never got connected to Wi-Fi. The suite was booked as having a washing machine and kitchenette, but neither was properly equipped. There were no utensils, dishes, pots, or pans, and we had to buy laundry powder ourselves. Those basic amenities were part of what we expected from the booking. This was a very painful stay that fell short of the service we had hoped for, and I hope the feedback is taken seriously so future guests don't face the same problems.
