Across from the hotel there are several restaurants, a drugstore, and a fresh fruit shop, all open late. The hotel itself is quite far from the city and not near a subway station, but it sits between the airport and the Forbidden Palace, about 18 km apart. Didi taxis are cheap, so getting around was still convenient. I stayed five nights. The room, bed, lobby, and hotel are all spacious. My room was clean and had no smoke smell; although it faced the road, I couldn’t hear outside noise. I gave it three stars because service was difficult. Most staff, including at the front desk, couldn’t speak or understand English. One day I called room service to order fried rice, but they didn’t understand me, so I never got my lunch. Crying lol.

Crowne Plaza Beijing Lido makes a comfortable base for business or leisure, with spacious, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and attentive staff. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the indoor pool, fitness center, and spa were clean, with professional staff. The hotel has four restaurants serving Chinese and international food, with a good range and quality of choices. It’s in Chaoyang District, well connected to business hubs and cultural attractions, and a short walk from Gaojiayuan Station for public transit. I found it convenient and would recommend it for a Beijing stay.

The check-in staff were friendly and professional, which I appreciated. Breakfast had a wide selection, including freshly squeezed watermelon juice. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the hotel is conveniently located near PEK Airport and the central business district.

Getting a cab during peak hours was difficult, but otherwise I’d highly recommend this hotel. It’s only a few kilometers from the city center and offers good value. The rooms are spacious and well maintained, and breakfast has plenty to choose from.

TED, the manager, helped our family get settled at midnight after a long, tiring flight. He was super helpful and went out of his way to take care of what we needed. The breakfast buffet was out of this world. Absolutely fantastic place, five stars, 100%.
