Hotel Crowne Plaza Beijing Tongzhou by IHG

At the breakfast restaurant, Ms. Bu was in charge of the lǘdagǔn. She was warm and welcoming, and the lǘdagǔn she made was delicious, as were the men ding meat buns and some other famous Beijing snacks. She was also very kind and easy to recommend.

The hotel is a great value, and there are plenty of Meituan delivery options even though there isn’t much food nearby. The hotel has lockers on the first floor where you can pick up orders. We stayed at Beijing Tongzhou Crowne Plaza Hotel for a visit to Beijing Universal Studios. It’s part of the InterContinental group. We came on a weekday and paid 3133 for a double room, about 1556 per person per night. It opened in September 2025, so the facilities are very new, and service was good. The room was big and comfortable, and the pillows weren’t too soft. The hair dryer was similar to a Dyson and dried hair quickly. There’s a subway station 200 meters from the hotel, and it’s three stops to Universal Studios, or about seven minutes by taxi. A couple of downsides: the slippers were too small for men, though they were thick and comfortable, and the signs from the subway to the hotel lobby could be clearer.
