The weekend dinner buffet is good, with hot pot, barbecue, sashimi, and unlimited draft beer. Breakfast is a good buffet too. Rooms are spacious and luxurious, and they always leave guests a bowl of fruit. It’s close to the Google office I visit. In winter the hotel keeps things really warm, around 25C. I hate that, so I switch off the air conditioning thermostat, which does nothing, and open all the windows.

The room was quiet and clean, and breakfast was nice, though not especially impressive. Still, this stay was quite a bad experience. The pillow was too soft and couldn’t support my head, so I was uncomfortable in the morning. Water kept collecting on the shower room floor, as if it wasn’t draining properly. The air conditioning was very noisy, so we could only use a low airflow setting.

The room sometimes felt too warm and sometimes too cold, but the staff were very accommodating and gave me a heater. The service was excellent. Mantin looks great, and the staff were great too.

I always have an epic stay here whenever I travel to Beijing, whatever the length of the visit. The rooms are spacious, and everyone I’ve met has been super friendly and welcoming. The cleaning lady Lingmei Li is lovely. When I put out the cleaning sign while I went out for food, she got the room cleaned right away. I’d strongly recommend this hotel if you need to stay in the neighborhood. It’s close to the major universities and tech companies.

I enjoyed my visit here in 2017, but this recent stay was much less satisfying. The hotel is showing wear, and the furniture badly needs refurbishing. Even though I got a slight upgrade, the room didn’t feel clean or improved. The sauna and steakhouse felt gross and are badly in need of renovation. Given the condition and the price range, I generally wouldn’t recommend staying here.
