That pool is a nice extra, though you'll need a swim cap. You can bring one or buy one there for a small fee. We spent three nights here and found the staff helpful, the room clean, comfortable, and nicely designed. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance, and the Forbidden City and other major sights are a short drive away. Very good value for the money.

Hank, Empark's Chief Concierge, really came through for us. We had booked this hotel for its baby cot and location near places we wanted to visit, and had emailed several times to confirm the cot. At check-in, though, we were told none were left, which understandably made us very unhappy. After some discussion, Hank promised one would be in our room by evening, and it was. The cot was set too high and screwed so tightly we couldn't adjust it ourselves. I was already thinking of moving hotels when Hank returned with tools and reassembled it in person. Not all heroes wear capes, and he was our Beijing hero. His professionalism is unmatched. The rooms are good and the stay comfortable, with superb service from Hank. Highly recommend Empark Prime.

The rooms were huge, and getting around the heart of Beijing was convenient, with the Forbidden City within walking distance. I hadn't heard of Empark before booking, so it was a bit of a gamble, but I was impressed by the room design, attention to detail, and attentive staff. I'd be thrilled to stay here again.

I'm here right now, and the room air conditioning can't be controlled. Guest service seemed to know about it when I called. They brought an air cooler and told us to open the window, even though the hotel's own note on it says not to, for various reasons. That's a pretty confusing instruction. If this is a known problem, shouldn't it be fixed, or at least mentioned before check-in? What a circus. Never again.
