Grand Hyatt Beijing

The King Bed Apartment was spacious, with a sofa, divan, and washer/dryer. There was a stove but no pots, which was fine since the concierge helped us order delivery from nearby. I don't speak Chinese, and WeChat was the easiest way to ask for things like a humidifier and yoga mat. The hotel was full and staff were busy, but they still made an effort to help. They even took our laundry out of the washing machine when I asked. Housekeepers Anya and Chris looked after us well and found the wand my son had forgotten to pack. My family, including our two kids, really enjoyed the stay at Grand Hyatt Beijing. My son and I especially liked the amazing swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and hot tub on P3, a nice way to unwind after a busy day walking around palace grounds and shopping malls. The location is fantastic: the adjacent mall connects to two metro stations, and Wangfujing shopping strip is within walking distance.

The Oasis, the massive indoor pool on the ground floor, is something you really have to see. Breakfast on the second floor had plenty of choices, all well executed, and the gym was spotless, modern, and well maintained. It did get crowded even around 7 a.m., though. Check-in at the club lounge went incredibly smoothly, and the front desk staff were attentive, friendly, and quick to understand what I needed. My room was spacious, and as a Lifetime Globalist I was upgraded to a very comfortable suite of over 1,000 square feet. For the relatively reasonable price, this Grand Hyatt is easily among the best Hyatt properties in Beijing. An exceptional stay and an easy top choice here.

Breakfast had a huge range, from Chinese and Western dishes to desserts, so make sure you eat here. We loved the Grand Club facilities and the fun happy hour, where the all-you-can-eat buffet was free. Our 17th-floor room came with Club Access, and the Club Oasis indoor pool was beautiful. The spacious gym has Technogym machines. Don't miss the hot tub and steam sauna in the changing room, especially relaxing in winter. The Grand Hyatt was a luxurious, comfortable stay in a prime location, just a 3-minute walk from Wangfuqing.

Mr Ray Sim, Assistant Manager (F&B), made a real difference to our stay. When he noticed one of my children was unwell, he promptly brought warm water for the child's medication. He also explained the nearby medical facilities in detail, including how credible the different hospitals were, and offered his personal contact in case of an emergency. My family sincerely appreciated his genuine care and willingness to go well beyond his duties. The hotel is beautiful, and the staff were attentive and welcoming throughout our stay.
