Guomen Business

I was there for two weeks on a work trip, not a holiday. It’s close to the airport and about 2 km from the Exhibition Centre, so it might work for an overnight stay before flying. For a two-week stay like mine, I’d choose somewhere closer to restaurants and entertainment. There aren’t any nearby restaurants I could trust, and I had to take a taxi every evening to eat. I wouldn’t recommend Guo Men Resturant next to the hotel. The room was small but okay, and the bed was comfortable. Some parts of the wall and ceiling were held together or repaired with sticky tape, and there weren’t enough shelves in the cupboards. Water pooled across the shower floor because it sloped away from the drain. There was a “Caution Wet Floor” sign in the shower, though. The toilet wasn’t fixed to the floor and wobbled, which worried me. I’m not sure whether the hotel offers laundry service, but I ended up washing my clothes in the bathroom sink and hanging them around the room. The Wi-Fi was slow or didn’t work. Staff spoke little or no English and never seemed quite organized. My key card worked only inconsistently, so I had to go to reception to have it reprogrammed. That got annoying over two weeks.
