Happy Dragon Hostel

We booked the Great Wall of China tour through the hotel. It was good value and a really enjoyable trip. The rooms were clean, and housekeeping came every day. There's a free tea and coffee station at reception, plus drinks and noodles you can buy. The people working here were the nicest and most helpful, and they really made our stay at Happy Dragon Hotel. I'd recommend it, you'll be looked after by genuinely nice people :)

The rooms were very clean, and there are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful, and communication was excellent. They can arrange a Great Wall tour if you want one. The metro is close, so it's easy to get to major sights like Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven. I'd definitely stay here again.

We found it to be a very budget-friendly hotel, with a comfortable room that was perfectly adequate for a few days. The heating kept it cozy on the cold November nights. My one concern was mold on the bathroom tiles. It didn't bother us, and I'm sure it can be fixed easily. The location worked well for sightseeing. Metro lines 5, 6, and 8 make it easy to reach the Forbidden City, Tian’anmen Square, the Temple of Heaven, and the Summer Palace. Qianmen and Wangfujing shopping streets are nearby, and there's a 7-Eleven about a three-minute walk away. Getting here from the airport by DiDi or public transport was easy, and both cost around 60 yuan. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. They shared information about sights, shows, and local experiences, helped us set up Alipay for using public transport, and can arrange tours to the Great Wall or Forbidden City at reception. We were greeted warmly each day and offered complimentary tea and coffee.

For the price, the rooms were good enough, with a shower and toilet and everything I needed. They were cleaned daily, and I got free bottles of water. The staff were probably the friendliest and most helpful I've ever had. They made booking trips to the Great Wall and tianmen square really easy. Great value, and I'd recommend it.
