Holiday Inn Express Beijing Airport Zone

I spent four nights here. Breakfast had lots of options and was very good, the staff were friendly, and there was a convenience store you could reach on foot. The airport was nearby, too. The carpet in my room was kind of dirty. Staff explained that it was because of the pandemic and that they'd had to spray disinfectant.

For the price, this was great value. The breakfast had plenty of choices, including Chinese and Western dishes, and the airport was only a short taxi ride away.

A nearby local restaurant sells the best cakwe ever. What stood out most, though, was the staff. They were helpful and efficient, and even with limited English they handled every issue quickly and well. Kudos to the whole team.

Getting to and from the airport is easy. A private taxi runs about $30, while an airport cab is around $10 if you’re willing to wait in line. Breakfast is free and has the usual Chinese dishes. My room had a bit of a smoky smell, though. The bathroom came with a toothbrush and a nice shower. There’s a 7/11 two minutes from the entrance, plus a small market and restaurant next to it. They stay open late.
