It’s hard to find budget places that take non-Chinese guests, aside from the costly hotels. The rooms start at RMB 459, and the RMB 650 room might suit you better. It’s in Liangmaqiao, Chaoyang, with a great location and good connections. Staff numbers are low, and there’s no English communication. It’s pricey, though you can’t really expect Beijing to be cheap. Breakfast has a limited buffet spread. All in all, it’s okay, nothing special.

The price was good and the location worked well. The room was basic but fine for a couple of nights.

Room service was okay, though the waiters hardly ever smile.
