The front desk team went out of their way to help us get our lost luggage back. The concierge team, Paul, Marcus, and Leon, also helped with booking a Great Wall tour, ordering take-in food, and arranging our Tiananmen Square tickets. I originally chose the hotel for the gym, and it was easily the best hotel fitness facility I’ve seen. It spans two floors, with a huge pool, a wide selection of weight machines and free weights, and just about everything else you could want. The amenities and service were exceptional. The hotel was modern, exceptionally clean, quiet, and conveniently right beside China World Mall. One small downside is that the area is geared toward upscale dining, so local eateries and hole-in-the-wall shops aren’t as easy to find right outside. Still, the property had everything we needed for a comfortable trip. Highly recommend it for the service and facilities.

We booked six nights and asked for a quiet room, but got one on the 11th floor at the very back of the hotel, near the bar. We could hear noise from both the bar and the road. Not a good choice if you’re a light sleeper.

The gym and other facilities are impressive, and the rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The service was exceptional too. Jen Hotel, Beijing is one of the best places I’ve stayed. I can’t see why it has a four-star rating, as it certainly deserves five. Next time I’m in China, I’ll book an extra day just to enjoy the hotel instead of sightseeing. Highly recommend it, and I’d absolutely stay again!

We arrived at 3:00 PM, an hour after the stated 2:00 PM check-in time, but reception said we still had to wait for our room. At over 300 USD a night, that level of service is unacceptable. I don’t want to stay here again.
