Jinglun Hotel

The location is excellent, with a bus and metro station nearby. I was given a non-smoking room, though I’m not sure whether smoking is allowed elsewhere in the hotel. The food was good, but sometimes the menu is in Chinese, so check with the hotel staff that the food is suitable for you. There’s a currency exchange counter at reception, though it only takes major currencies.

The price and location are pretty good, but the hotel is old and worn out. The internet wasn’t very good for me. Breakfast often runs short of seats, and the exercise room has too little equipment, much of it old and worn. Don’t expect to be impressed. Come for a reasonable price, not a top level experience.

This was the seventh hotel I’d stayed at in China, and easily the worst. I arrived really late and was too tired to deal with the first room that night. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly, with hair everywhere and a dirty film on the mirrors and tub. The AC didn’t work, and the closet lights stayed on because the doors were too small to block the light. I opened the windows and curtains to cool the room, which let in street noise and more light. After a very limited, subpar breakfast buffet compared with the other six hotels, I asked for a clean room with working AC. In the replacement, the closet light was the only thing that had changed. The bathroom still had hair, plus pink mold in the tub and shower grout. The mirrors and handles were dirty, and there were no washcloths, which I only realized halfway through my shower. I really regret that this is my last hotel before leaving China. Go somewhere else for this price!
