Our travel agent booked this hotel for us, and it was a very disappointing stay. The reception staff couldn’t speak English, which made checking in difficult. We arrived at 8:00 PM, and the hotel seemed empty, with very dark corridors and no lights on. The room smelled unpleasant. It was a good size, but that was about the only positive. The carpet was wet, the bed uncomfortable, and the toilet and shower were filthy, with mold everywhere and spider webs in the room. It’s far from Beijing. I wouldn’t recommend it or stay here again.

The rooms are spacious, but they feel dated and weren’t very clean. It was like they hadn’t been used since the 2008 Olympics. The service was poor for me because staff barely spoke English. Breakfast was alright. At first glance, the hotel looks pretty nice.

It’s a long way from the city centre, though the area around the hotel is quiet and serene. The rooms are neither bad nor good. Food is just above average, but eating duck every day isn’t great. Reception was very unfriendly because of the language barrier, and they seemed to hate speaking English or any other foreign language.

Housekeeping left a lot to be desired, and the rooms were average at best, with a damp and dusty smell. It was also hard to deal with reception because the staff didn’t speak English. I’d suggest finding another hotel.

It’s an okay, affordable hotel. As in many parts of China, the staff don’t speak English, which is a challenge. The toilets also don’t flush properly.
