The rooms and furnishings are quite old, and the air conditioners didn't cool efficiently. At around 400 RMB, though, it felt like reasonable value. The hotel is handy for a quaint night market and the subway, with good connections around town. Staff were polite and helpful, though communicating could be difficult. There's also a small restaurant serving Chinese food on site.

The renovation was underway during our stay, so the lobby and corridors looked like a construction site, and the hot water was unreliable. Still, the old-fashioned Chinese hotel had some charm, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
