We arrived at 11 pm and ended up dealing with luggage problems we'd asked them to store beforehand, so I didn't get to sleep until 4 am. The receptionist had forgotten to hand over the room key, then asked us for it the next morning. The bedroom lighting was dim because of the red shades, and the bathroom sink had cracked tiles. The reception staff weren't friendly. A bad one-night stay.

A quiet, old-fashioned little place, with plenty of places and services nearby. Some doorways in the rooms are low enough that I have to duck to get through.

The staff gave good service, and Qianmen street is close enough to reach on foot. A strategic location.

The room was disgusting, and the street outside was lined with adult shops, with a slaughterhouse or butcher right next door. This was by far the worst hotel we stayed in during our time in China. It gave us a terrible first impression of the country.
