The area is very congested, but it's convenient to have everything close by. The hotel is in a great central spot for tourists, within walking distance of the Forbidden City and very close to Wangfujing street. The room was clean and comfortable, a decent size, and the hotel seemed well run. Breakfast was fine, though average, with limited pastry choices. It's a good place to stay when visiting Beijing. It's a four-star hotel, so I'm giving it four stars too.

There's a classical Huaiyang Cuisine restaurant on the third floor, with dishes that look good and taste very Chinese. Nanjing Great Hotel is in central Beijing, near the pedestrian street and Tian An-men square. The eight-storey hotel is close to shopping and commercial areas.

My room had no window, but it was nice, clean, and tidy. The Forbidden City is a 10-minute walk away, and subway stations aren't far. It's not a cheap hotel, but based on my stay, I wouldn't call it expensive.
