The rooms and lobby look striking, and the service was decent, though nothing special. There are maintenance problems in the rooms, as another review mentioned: the air conditioning and heater don't work properly, the windows are worn and patched with tape, and some switches don't work right. Most Beijing attractions are very far away too, with travel times of around 1-2 hours.

The location is a long way from the city center, and there’s very little nearby. In winter, most of the hotel shops were shut or kept short hours. The rooms are roomy but feel a bit old and dusty, and the carpet makes wheeling luggage harder.

The breakfast was the same every day during my nine-day trip. The hotel is about 40 km from central Beijing, at least an hour away by Didi and around two hours in peak traffic. My room was in very poor shape, with peeling walls, moldy toilets, a stained tub, and a dirty floor. It also felt too eerie for me. I’m never coming back. The worst hotel I’ve stayed at on all my trips.

The views and atmosphere were lovely, with a grand, scenic setting in the hilly outskirts of Beijing. It’s a new six-star hotel, with big, comfortable rooms for families and plenty of nearby parking. There’s a good range of tasty food, and the staff were fantastic. Seems well suited to wedding receptions and launch events. Enjoy.
