Sunworld Dynasty Hotel Beijing Wangfujing

The staff were lovely and helpful, and a couple spoke English. They can arrange a Great Wall tour with a private driver. Breakfast covers a lot, from continental food to local dishes, and the room was nice with toiletries in the bathroom. The location is handy, with a Line 5 metro station down the street and two more, Lines 1 and 8, about 15 minutes away at the end of Wangfujing shopping street. Laundry is the one hassle in China, there’s nowhere to find a laundromat and hotels charge too much per item.

We had a pleasant stay and I’d happily come back. The room was kept clean, the beds were really comfortable, and the staff were attentive and helpful. The location is excellent. One thing that would have helped is a note in the information booklet saying you need to buy a swimming hat to use the pool. Finding that out at the time was a little disappointing.

The room was great, with working AC, good hot water, and an air purifier. Getting the reservation sorted was quick, though the porter seemed to expect a tip when we arrived at 9pm, already tired. The lobby is quite small, which surprised me given how many rooms there are on each guest floor. The hotel is well placed in the Wangfujing area, near restaurants, convenience stores, and malls, with public transport about a 5-10 minute walk away. A very good hotel overall.

The room was clean and nicely arranged, with comfortable bedding and the essential toiletries. The hotel is conveniently located on Wangfujing St., the high-end shopping street. We were told we could have connecting rooms the next night, but a different receptionist was dismissive and said there was no request without checking. Luckily, another receptionist on duty remembered and sorted it out quickly. That service issue is why I gave four stars.
