We spent four nights here in Sep 2025. The Orchid Loft Suite #68 was fairly spacious and OK, with a living area, sofa, TV, fridge, filtered water and a pour over/drip coffee maker. The bed is up in the loft, reached by a short flight of stairs. Since it’s on the higher level, it can get quite warm, so lower the air con temperature. Breakfast was good, with both Chinese and western food. The hotel is in a charming Hutong area with a few bars and cafes around.

The front desk staff made our two-night stay at The Orchid especially enjoyable. Check-in was easy, and they explained the facilities fully. We had two early starts before breakfast service began, and the staff offered breakfast for us to take along. Everyone was wonderful. The hotel is in a nice old area of Beijing, and our stay in September 2025 was perfect. Highly recommend The Orchid.

The staff were very friendly and eager to share the real Beijing experience, and I really enjoyed talking with them. Orchid Hotel is tucked into a quiet part of the Hutong, not far from the historic Drum Tower, which you can see from the hotel’s rooftop. There are plenty of nearby landmarks, restaurants, bars, and shops, all easy to explore on foot, which is how I prefer to get around. The interior thoughtfully preserves the historic neighborhood’s character while adding some modern touches.

The rooms were clean and thoughtfully put together, and the staff were incredibly welcoming, polite, and professional. This little hotel has its own identity and heart, so it’s not the place for anyone after somewhere tasteless and soulless. I loved the rooftop cafe’s breakfast menu and getting fresh air up there in the morning. I enjoyed every minute of my stay!

The cats are icons 💁🏻♀️, and the food is tasty with a good variety. The staff were amazing, and the house’s clean, modern, traditional design left us speechless. INCREDIBLE!!! It had everything we wanted from a boutique hotel experience.
