A cheap, basic hotel in a perfect spot for the palace, Tienamen, or the shopping district. The beds were comfortable, though a little small, and the service was friendly. Still, the room had moldy caulking, weak air conditioning, and they were stingy with soap and toilet paper. The shower pressure was the weakest I've ever come across, just about eight little streams that might reach your head if you stood right up against the cold controls. Shampoo costs 48 rmb. I'd give it one star if I were in the US, but expectations are different on this side of the Pacific.

I've never stayed in a worse hotel. The rooms were very dirty. I don't know any English.

It has become Man Xin Hotel now. The rooms are very pretty, and the hotel is modern.
