The beds were barely beds, just an inch of foam on wood, and there was no soundproofing. At times it felt like the people next door had a microphone. Other guests smoked in their rooms and the shared bathroom, so the whole place stank. Showers kept changing temperature and often went cold. The bathrooms were constantly dirty, with excrement and blood still on the walls and floor even after they’d been “cleaned.” Staff were rude and dismissive. At check-in, the staff member ignored me and multitasked, leaving me standing there unsure what I was waiting for. They refused to provide hand soap, saying it was an amenity rather than an essential. The listing said they spoke English, but they didn’t. It also said ground floor, though the room was on the 8th floor. If you want to enjoy your holiday, don’t stay here.

There are restaurants and fruit shops nearby, and it’s about a 10-minute walk to the MRT station. Shared bikes are close too. The hostel has free use of a washing machine and refrigerator, and the female rooms sleep eight. There are two bathrooms and one toilet. A great option for a youth hostel or capsule hotel.
