Zhongguan Xinyuan Global Village PKU

We had a spacious room with two cozy beds, a clean bathroom with a bathtub, and hot and cold water. Toiletries were replenished daily, and the room was cleaned every day with fresh napkins, towels, and soap. Room service was prompt and Wi-Fi was available. We stayed for 10 days and found the staff helpful, though communicating in English was difficult. The main drawback was having to leave the building for food. There isn't a restaurant inside, and breakfast is served at Sunrise Restaurant in another building a few meters away. That walk can feel unpleasant in rain or winter. The hotel is inside Zhongguanyuan global village and is intended for guests and new joinees of Peking University, so it isn't accessible to everyone.

Global Village is a convenient place to stay when visiting Beijing or Peking University, with inexpensive rooms close to a subway line. There are plenty of restaurants on the premises, serving reasonably priced Chinese and Western food. The rooms are clean, the Wi-Fi is fairly fast, and service is top notch. Receptionists speak English.

I really enjoyed my three months at Global Village. Everyone was welcoming and helpful, and the staff were superb and patient despite the language barrier. The Manager was so professional. Loved it.

I stayed there May 29-June 1 through an arrangement with Peking University. Free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV were provided, but there was no refrigerator. The ordinary breakfast was included.
